I am a wife of a retired army soldier ;We homeschool 3 out of 5 of our children, our oldest is in school for the first time, while our youngest toddles admist the dust, nails, and plywood that will some day become our renovated "dream house". My husband is also running for mayor of our new hometown; all of this while running his own business. OUr days are full of unexpected visitors, laughter, tears, and sometimes chaos. I hope you enjoy the peek into our crazy life
I posted this picture, that was taken back in November, 2005. My daughter, Mary and her friend Emily watch as their Dad's, neighbors, and parent's friends, march by on the field. This was about a week before 2nd Brigade left. I love the picture, because it reflects, several things. One, is my child's reality. She is perfectly comfortable, standing there and watching the soldiers go by, not seen is their giggles as they look for their father's faces. Secondly, I think it shows that their is still pride in our military....whose heart doesn't swell up at that. Finally, I think it shows, very clearly who "our soldiers" are fighting for. Thank, you from the bottom of my heart, American Soldiers for giving me the security, to know that my little one can keep on giggling.....
WOW...just read your last post...the tears flowed..you are my hero, Patty....I forget just how strong you are and all that you have faced these last three and a half years..this post reminded me of why I think you are a wonderful daughter and a strong woman of faith...I am proud to be your Mom
I am reading your blog through my tears, Patty. You have reminded me of everything that first year and explained to me everything in this past year and my heart is so full of all those "old" feelings again I don't even know what to say. You, my dear friend, are the true example of a hero. You will perservere because you know Who it is who is holding you up. You know He has you in His hands--you've told me. And now you've shown me. Thank you so much for doing this. Everyone in this country should read your words. I miss you--

"Thanks, for your Positive Comments"!
Well, thanks for supporting my efforts, as I try to enter "blog land"!
I have set my blog, where anyone can post a comment now. Hopefully this will work!
I will try and publish a new post, at least once a week, with a picture.
Hopefully, I can stay in better touch with my friends and family!!
Patty
